The importance of children’s exercise

According to the World Health Association (WHO) childhood obesity is one of the most serious global public health challenges for the 21st century.

Obese children and adolescents are at increased risk of health problems, and are also more likely to become obese as adults.

The National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) measures the height and weight of around one million school children in England every year, providing a detailed picture of the prevalence of childhood obesity.

The latest figures show that almost a third of 10-11 year olds were overweight or obese, and over a fifth of 4-5 year olds.

Inactivity is a major contribution to why children may become obese.

B’ Young ‘N’ B’ Fit provide specialist programmes of Exercise, Movement & Dance to help combat the effects of inactivity in children.

Our sessions are tailored to suit the needs of children and are stimulating and enjoyable.

Children’s Exercise Programmes

B’ Young ‘N’ B’ Fit have specialised instructors trained in children’s exercise.

We deliver structured safe exercise programmes to children in schools and community settings.

We capture the imagination and enthusiasm of children so that becoming fit and healthy is fun!

We constantly ask children for their views to ensure a client centred approach. This helps to ensure children receive the activities they are interested in to help sustain physical activity.
